Background Infos about this first ever made 3PU Guitar by Dommenget

• Neulich hatte ich eine originale 67-er SG Custom mit 3 Humbuckern zur Reparatur. Der Kunde sagte der Toggle Switch wäre evtl. defekt da die Gitarre in Mittelposition sehr dünn und ohne Leistung klang.
  Mich erinnerten 3HB Gitarren immer an "3 Eier im Sack" ohne soundliche Vorteile, eher Verluste durch weniger Holz.
• Nach Überprüfung der Elektrik und den Pickups stellte ich fest das der mittlere Pickup phasenverdreht ( Magnetpolarität nord statt süd ) war. Haben die wohl geschlampt damals dachte ich, nahm den mittleren Pickup auseinander, drehte den Magnet um und siehe da : plötzlich klang es richtig gut in der Mittelposition ( Bridge und Mittelpickup zusammen ).
• Später erfuhr ich dann das Gibson tatsächlich in der Mittelposition generell out-of-phase geschaltet ist bei solchen Gitarren.
• Wieso, weshalb ist mir ein Rätsel, dieser Sound ist wirklich nicht zu gebrauchen !?!
• Nun ergab sich das ein Kunde eine Classic mit Bigsby und 3 Humbuckern bestellte worauf ich eine neue Schaltung basierend auf meiner "TheBrain" Schaltung entwickelte : neu ist vor allem die Mittelposition, bei der Bridge und Mittelpickup zusammengeschaltet sind.
  Der Grundsound in dieser Position ist tatsächlich mit 2 Humbucker-Gitarren nicht zu bekommen und eine echte Bereicherung.
• Umgehauen hat es mich bei den Splitsounds in Verbindung mit dem Twang Control : reinrassiger Stratsound wie bei der berühmten Position 2 des Stratschalters.
• Alles in allem bin ich von 3 Humbuckern nun voll überzeugt, da nun tatsächlich das komplette Soundspektrum der gängigsten Gitarren ohne Probleme reproduziert werden kann u.v.m., z.B der "Garbagecan" Sound . Mehrere Gitarren braucht man nun eigentlich nicht mehr.
  Selbstverständlich basieren alle Sound auf der Konstruktion der Classic, die bewusst auf hohe Resonanz und schnelles Ansprechen ausgelegt ist.
  Der Hals ist sehr schlank und schnell geshaped, durch die Verwendung von Carbonverstärkungen aber stabil und klanglich wie ein dicker mit "Baseballschläger"-Profil.
  Durch die ultradünne Nitrolackierung können sich alle Obertöne frei entfalten.
  Die ausschliessliche Verwendung von alten luftgetrockneten Tonhölzern ist selbstverständlich.

• Recently I had an original 67-er SG Custom with 3 Humbucker for a repair. The customer said the Toggle Switch could be possibly defect because the guitar sound in central position is very thin and without achievement. 3HB guitars reminded me always of "3 balls in the bag" without sounding advantages and losses by fewer wood.
• After examination of the electrical connection and the Pickups I saw that the middle Pickup ( magnet polarity north instead of south ) was firmly phaserotated. If they did a sloppy job at that time I thought, I took apart the middle Pickup, turned the magnet and : suddenly it sounded correctly good in the central position ( Bridge and Mittelpickup together ).
• Later I heard the Gibson were generally switched in the central position out of phase .
• Why, is a mystery to me, this sound is not really to use !?!
• Now a customer ordered a Classic with Bigsby and 3 Humbucker and I developed a circuit based on my "TheBrain" circuit : new is the central position, with which Bridge and Mittelpickup are hooked up.
  The basic sound in this position can’t get actually with 2 Humbucker guitars and is a genuine enriching.
• I was knocked out with the Splitsounds in connection with the Twang control : pure Stratsound like the famous position 2 of the Stratswitch.
• All in all I am fully convinced of 3 Humbuckern now, now actually the complete sound spectrum of the most usual guitars without problems can be reproduced a.m.m., e.g. the "Garbagecan" Sound. Several guitars you don’t need any more.
  Of course all Sounds are based on the construction of the Classic, which are consciously designed for high resonance and fast responding.
  The neck is very slim and fast shaped, by the use of carbon reinforcement however stable and sounding as a thicker neck with "Baseball Bat" profile. Becasue of the ultrathin Nitrolaquer all overtones can unfold free. Of course we use exclusive old air-dried clay/tone woods.

Here a file : 3 Pickup Dommenget classic lead, PAF 84, PAF 93, Musclebucker, Brain included, I select with Volume Bridge or Vol. Neck, I can split : Master Tone : splitting Bridge & Middle, Master Twang Control : splitting Neck PU.

You do all with the Guitar ... you need an amp and a guitar.  no Effects ...
